BMW the German luxury car manufacturer has been selling the entry-level SUV X1 in the global market since 2009. Since then, the SUV is quite popular and very handy to drive. It is currently sold in the international market in its second-generation avatar, and it’s been in the market for more than 6 years now and due to a replacement in updated form. This is likely to come in 2023 as with many new powertrain options and updated advanced technology as well. The F48 X1 is constructed on a front-wheel drive configuration and sold in LWB and LWB hybrid in China. The BMW X1 is retailed in a range of powertrains like three-cylinder, four-cylinder petrol, and diesel mills as well, along with all-wheel drive configuration also available in the top-end trim.
With the increasing competition in Crossover entry-level SUVs, the manufacturer is working on a heavily updated X1 with plenty of interiors and exterior changes. The 2023 BMW X1 production version was being spotted near the rail yard giving a sneak peek about the exterior design elements. At the front, it gets a new front fascia with a large front grille but not as same in 4-series. It is flanked by headlights with bolder LED DRLs looks identical to the 3-series facelift version. The front bumper comes with a larger air intake in the middle with honeycomb inserts and X shaped pattern. While the edges have a vertical air curtain for better cooling and air regulation underneath the chassis for better aerodynamics.
Other notable highlights are more aero body panels, sidelines, muscular shoulder lines, and round-shaped wheel arches. The normal door handles have been replaced with flush door handles with revised quarter glass. At the back the 2023 BMW X1 gets a new spoiler integrated on an edge of the top layer, along with redesigned LED headlamps and updated bumper along with a new tailgate design. The interior is expected to have a curved infotainment system measure as a 14.9-inch touchscreen. Which will be enabled with BMW connectivity apple car play android auto and much more. It could likely have a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, steering wheel-mounted control, a more premium finish, and so on. It will be manufactured at BMW’s production facility in Regensburg next year. An electric and plug-in hybrid version is also in development which will be launched and sold alongside IC-powered mills.
