American manufacturer Ford India today has announced the launch of the Figo Petrol automatic variant in the Indian market, priced at Rs 7.75 lakh.

American manufacturer Ford Motors India has announced the launch of its Figo petrol automatic variant in the Indian market, with a starting price of Rs 7.75 lakh ex-showroom. The hatchback is offered in two trims Titanium and titanium plus trim, the former priced at Rs 7.75 lakh and the latter priced at Rs 8.20 lakh. With this, the brand has expanded its compact hatchback trims and will go compete against best-selling Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand I10 Nios in India.
The Ford Figo has priced at Rs 5.82 lakh for the entry-level variant and the top in the line variant is priced at Rs 8.20 lakh ex-showroom. The car comes with loaded features like cornering safety, comfort, 7.0-inch infotainment system enable with apple car play and android auto. Also, it gets a rain-sensing wiper, reverse parking camera, auto air conditioning, 6-airbags, steering mounted control, and so on. With the automatic transmission, the manufacturer also added newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels, other than that no changes have been seen.
As for performance, the Figo compact hatch comes powered by two engines – a 1.2 Litre petrol and 1.5 Litre diesel engine. The petrol engine belts out 96 PS of maximum power output and 119 Nm of peak torque. the Dragon three-cylinder engine is paired with standard 5-speed manual transmission and now the line-up has also joined the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission gearbox system. While the 1.5 Litre oil burner continues to belt out 100 PS of maximum power and 215 Nm of peak torque. the oil burner powertrain paired with standard 5-speed MT, while earlier it also has an automatic gearbox which is discontinued due to BS6 from last year April 2020.
