BMW X5 SportX plus edition has been launched in the Indian market starting from Rs 77.90 lakh for petrol and Rs 79.50 lakh for diesel trim.

BMW has announced the launch of the X5 SportX plus edition in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 77.90 lakh ex-showroom for petrol version and Rs 79.50 lakh ex-showroom for the diesel version. While comparing it to the standard X5 SportX it has upgraded with some minor updates and changes. With the Special SportX plus edition, it is now become the most affordable X5 petrol variant and is priced notably lowered by Rs 10.1 lakh than its M performance Sport variant. Although this is not the same for diesel variant as the new SportX plus diesel trim becomes costlier by Rs 3 lakh than its predecessor now discontinued oil burner X5 SportX.
The new BMW X5 SportX plus trim is offered in both petrol and diesel variants now, which was previously limited and only offers with M Sport variants. The biggest talking point of the launch is now the X5 petrol variants are also offered with it and becomes the most affordable petrol trim for the SUV. While, lowering the price also comes with some features left out like air suspension, passenger seat memory, 360-degree camera, 464W Harman Kardon sound system, laser light headlamp, and so on. Although, the brand also offered a choice of accessories kits like panoramic sunroof glass, four-zone climate control, powered front seat with memory function, powered tailgate, LED lights, hands-free parking, twin 12.3-inch displays, TPMS, and so on.
BMW also discontinued the previous SportX sole oil burner variant which was priced at Rs 76.50 lakh. The new SportX plus trim comes with minor changes like the addition of aluminum running boards and a tire pressure monitoring system. As for performance BMW X5 SportX plus comes powered by both petrol and diesel trim. Petrol version 40i powers from 3.0 Litre six-cylinder turbocharged engine which belts out 340 HP of maximum power and 450 Nm of peak torque. While the oil burner trim develops 265 HP of top power and 620 Nm of maximum torque. the powertrain comes coupled with a standard 8-speed automatic gearbox system delivering power to all four wheels.
