The French automaker flagship SUV C5 Aircross records the lowest sales numbers last month, as it only sold 41 units in June 2021.

Citroen makes its debut a few months ago introduced its first vehicle in the Indian market, named C5 Aircross. The flagship SUV was launched back in May 2021, and due to the second wave of the outbreak virus, the brand only sold 40 units. But as for the last month June 2021, the French automaker dispatched just 41 units of C5 Aircross. The SUV records the lowest cars sale last month in comparison to other brands’ SUVs. The lowest sale may be due to many reasons and one of the reasons could be the very high price tag for the Mid-Size SUV.
Citroen launched C5 Aircross with a starting price of Rs 29.90 lakh ex-showroom for the base variant. The brand sits at the last fifteen positions in the overall brand monthly sales chart. The brand offers its flagship SUV in two variants Feel and Shine. The top-end trim comes priced at Rs 31.90 lakh ex-showroom. Although, the features loaded with the car justify its price band Indian Buyers doesn’t show any interest in the new French SUV. The SUV comprises features like an automatic headlamp, 12.3-inch instrument cluster, dual-zone auto climate control, an 8.0-inch infotainment system, and so on.
The Citroen C5 Aircross comes powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder oil burner, which belts out 177 HP of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque. the powertrain comes coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox system. The Mid-Size SUV offers seven paint schemes – which comprise of 3 single-tone and 4-dial tones. As of now, the brand has only 10 active dealerships across India, while the assembly has been done locally at Tiruvallur based manufacturing facility. As for the future the French manufacture planning to enter into the most loved segment of India sub-4m SUV and an MPV.
