Most buyers are showing interest in this segment as a result the competition in the segment is getting tough with every new launch. Currently, there are 9 compact SUV in the Indian market. Starting the list with the best-selling compact SUV, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza currently priced between Rs 7.34 lakhs to Rs 11.40 lakhs. Available in a 1.5-liter petrol engine, which burns out 105 PS and 138 Nm. It also has a mild hybrid system but only variable for automatic variants. After Brezza the newly launched Kia Sonet getting some popularity which has been seen in last year’s sales figures. Currently, Sonet is offered with multiple engine options, 1.2-liter petrol, 1.0-liter Turbo petrol, and 1.5-liter turbodiesel engine unit, along with different transmission options. It is priced between Rs 6.79 lakhs to Rs 13.19 lakhs. Its cousin Hyundai Venue also powered with the same engine option as Sonet, and it is priced between Rs 6.75 lakhs to Rs 11.65 lakhs compact SUV price 2021.
Next Tata Nexon is offered with two engine options, 1.2 liter turbo petrol, and 1.5-liter Turbodiesel. It is priced from Rs 6.99 lakhs to Rs 12.70 lakhs. As for Toyota urban cruiser, it’s a rebadged version of Vitara Brezza and also powered with the same 1.5-liter petrol unit and also a mild hybrid system offering an automatic transmission variant. It is priced between Rs 8.40 lakhs to Rs 11.30 lakhs. Coming next on the list Mahindra XUV300 available in 2 engines, 1.2-liter turbo petrol, and 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine, and priced from Rs 7.95 lakhs to Rs 12.30 lakh. Ford Ecosport gets priced from Rs 7.99 lakhs to Rs 11.49 lakhs, and available in 2 engine, 1.5-liter petrol, and 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol unit.
The newest addition in the segment Nissan Magnite priced from Rs 5.49 lakhs to Rs 9.59 lakhs, and available in two engines, 1.0-liter petrol, and 1.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine. Lastly in the list comes Honda WR-V which is priced from Rs 8.49 lakhs to Rs 11.05 lakhs and available in two engines, 1.2-liter petrol, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine. Out of nine cars, Nissan Magnite is the most affordable car and comes with first in segment 360-degree camera feature.
