Hyundai Alcazar reaches 11000 bookings, and 6500 already sold in a month

Last month, Hyundai launched the much-awaited Alcazar in the Indian market, and in just over a month SUV reaches 11000 bookings and already sold over 6,500 units.

Over a month ago, Korean manufacturer Hyundai launched the much-awaited 6- 7- seater SUV. Hyundai Alcazar has priced between Rs 16.30 lakh for its entry-level, which goes up to Rs 19.99 lakh ex-showroom. Since the introduction, Hyundai already reaches a record-breaking milestone of 11000 bookings so far in over a month and reports suggest that the brand has already sold out 6,500 units. The Alcazar is sold 6- 7- seater configuration depending on the variants chosen and is based on best-selling Mid-Size SUV Creta.

After the introduction, Alcazar has been well accepted by the Customers in the domestic market. Out of all the bookings, 63 percent are for the diesel trims. The SUV is based on a Creta platform, or we can say it is a long well base version of Creta, with a lot of similarities and premium features. While talking about the base variant, Hyundai packed the base variant of Alcazar with plenty of features. Last month, Hyundai Alcazar has outsold many 6- 7- seater SUVs in the Indian market like Tata Safari, Hector plus, Mahindra XUV500, and Jeep compass facelift.

Hyundai Alcazar reaches 11000 bookings

As for the performance, Hyundai Alcazar comes powered by two engine option petrol and diesel both. First, petrol 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, which belts out 159 PS of maximum power and 191 Nm of peak torque. The second is a 1.5 Litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine which develops 115 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. the powertrain comes coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and as an optional 6-speed torque converter. In June 2021, Hyundai dispatched 3,103 units, and 1,360 units were rolled out to dealerships.
