Hyundai Alcazar sales outnumber every other car in its segment

The newest entry in the South Korean Manufacturer, Hyundai’s line-up is the all-new Hyundai Alcazar which is based on the same platform as the best-selling SUV, the Hyundai Creta and is also the company’s first 6-/7-seater entry in the Indian market. Although the launch of the car was postponed twice due to the health crisis the world is currently facing, but still, the car is well received by the Indian audience as compared to other cars in its segment which can be clearly seen by the Hyundai Alcazar sales.

This highly anticipated car managed to make a sale of over 3,100 units last month which showed a 128 per cent growth compared to the sale of May 2021, although the car being pricey than its competitors like Tata Safari and MG Hector, the base price of the Alcazar starts at Rs. 16.30 lakh.  

The all-new Hyundai Alcazar comes in a total of 2 engine options, the first being the new 2.0-litre NA petrol engine which can generate power up to 159 PS with a max torque of 191 Nm, while the other is the same 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine as of Creta that can generate power up to 115 PS with a max torque of 250 Nm. both of these engines come with the option to choose from a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT gearbox.

As for the Feature trims, the Alcazar comes in 6 different trim options, namely Prestige, Prestige (O), Platinum, Platinum (O), Signature and Signature (O). you also get the option to choose between the 6- seater or 7-seater variant whichever suits your style.

Talking about the dimensions of the Alcazar, the car measures 4,500 mm in length which is 200 mm longer than its 5-seater sibling Hyundai Creta, 1,790 mm in width, 1,675 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,760 mm.
