After a long wait and tons of leaks, Hyundai has finally revealed its much-awaited Micro SUV Hyundai Casper which will be making its way on the roads of its home country, South Korea after which will be rolling to other countries and will be entering the Indian markets, not before 2022. Hyundai Casper will be the company’s smallest car to go into production in its global portfolio.
Talking about the design which has stayed true to the spied images leaked months ago, in exact dimensions the car will measure 3,595mm in length, 1,595mm in width and 1,575mm in height. It is most comparable to the Hyundai Santro in dimension, although both sharing the same platform, Casper remains shorter and thinner than its hatchback sibling but does have a slight edge in height compared to it.
As for the exterior design, the car is what you can call quirky as it comprises a rather upright and boxy design. The car gets unique silver coloured front grille with a triangular motif design that blends into the circular headlamps, the LED DRLs to sit just above the headlamps on a glossy black panel containing the Hyundai logo at the centre and a faux silver skid plate. While for the sides, the car does get generous body cladding highlighting the squared wheel arches with dual-tone alloy wheels, the door handle on the front door is pained in body colour and the rear door handle is placed on the C-pillar like in Maruti Swift and roof rails coloured in black and metallic.
As for the rear, the car gets a protruding roof mounter spoiler, the tailgate gets a dual-tone treatment with a glossy black rectangular bar below the rear windshield that also has a similar triangular motif design as of the front grille but with LED lights equipped inside it. The taillights are positioned at the rear bumper along with a faux silver skid plate placed below it.
Other than that, nothing has been disclosed by the company including the interior design, features and also the powertrain of the car.
