With the unveiling of the new Hyundai i20 N Line, many questions have started to arise about, is the N Line is worth the price jump or are the cosmetic changes something to go for? To answer these questions let’s give these two cars a quick comparison on what are the differences you will find between the i20 N Line and the i20 Turbo variant. Starting with the design the N Line comes with some visually appealing changes like the new grille which consists of a new mesh style, the bumper also consists of different foglamp housing than of the standard i20 in addition to red inserts at the lower part of it.
the bonnet also gets prominent character lines, the sides feature new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels along with bright red clippers inside and black-coloured side skirts with red accents. While the rear only gets a restyled rear bumper, twin-tip exhaust and dark-coloured diffusers which is absent in the standard Turbo variant.
As for the insides, nothing much has been changed apart from the bucket styled seats and complete dark-themed treatment. The steering wheel is also changed from the standard butterfly type to sportier 3 spoke type and the gear nob in the N Line comes with a more premium touch with an “N Line” printed on it.
Apart from these changes nothing much has been improved from the Turbo variant, even the powertrain remains the same, which is a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine generating max power of 120 PS and max torque of 172 Nm.
So, should you buy it? If the looks matter to you the most then the i20 N line should be a clear choice for you as the car surely looks far better than the standard one but if you are the ones for whom looks are secondary then the standard Turbo variant will surely be a better value for your bucks.
