Mahindra and Mahindra homegrown UV specialists posted a 91% sales growth on a YoY basis in July 2021, a registered total of 42,983 units.

Mahindra and Mahindra announced their monthly sales number of July 2021, which stood with a total cumulative sale of 42,983 units last month. While in the passenger and utility segment the manufacturer registered 20,797 units in July 2021, and when we compared this on a YoY basis against July 2020 it resulted in YoY growth of 91%. As for the exports, the brand shipped a total of 2,123 units last month compared on a YoY basis it shows a positive sales growth of 45%.
In the existing financial year from April to July 2021, the UVU Specialists posted a positive growth of 180%, as it sold 63,367 units against 22,601 units during the last year same period. Although, the Korean manufacturer Kia has cumulatively posted over 1 lakh units during the same financial year period and finished in the top 5 manufacturer list in India. While just as another manufacturer is affected by the semiconductor shortage Mahindra’s production is also affected by the issue.
Last month, just near the end the company launched the Bolero Neo SUV in the Indian market, which was earlier sold as a TUV300 nameplate. The SUV features a higher mileage, higher performance, and an affordable price tag. Although, last year the manufacturer launched the second generation of Thar in the Indian market. Since the launch, it has been on the top for the brand as the waiting period on SUVs keeps on rising MoM. Talking about last month the SUV has a waiting period of over 11 months on all variants. For this month Mahindra is gearing up for the launch of XUV700, which features a ton of advanced technology.
