Maruti Suzuki August 2021 sales analysis – Swift, Baleno, Alto

Maruti Suzuki India has released their monthly sales chart for August 2021 and registered a total cumulative sale of 1,30,699 units.

  • Total combined sales of passenger and light commercial vehicles stood at 1,05,775 units

Maruti Suzuki announced their monthly sales chart for August 2021, in which passenger car sales stood at 1,03,187 units as against 1,13,033 units in the same month last year august 2020 resulting in 8.71 percent negative sales growth on a YoY basis. Currently, the brand has sold its line-up in India at two dealerships Maruti Nexa and Maruti Arena. The manufacture registered 20,461 units last month in mini passenger vehicles sales, which includes Alto and S-Presso. While on a YoY basis it gets a growth of 3.81 percent.

Other than that compact segment space from the brand registered 45,577 units last month, which includes WagonR, Swift, Celerio, ignis, Baleno, and Dzire. However, the space saw a negative sales growth of 26 percent on a YoY basis. Moving towards the Mid-Size segment, which includes Ciaz it stood at 2,146 units last month. Maruti Suzuki Eeco registered 10,666 nits in august 2021 as against 9,115 units during the same month last year resulting in YoY positive growth of 17 percent. While the mid-Size segment saw a growth of 75% on a YoY basis.

Moving forward to the utility vehicles segment which includes Ertiga, S-Cross, Vitara Brezza, XL6, and gypsy, combinedly it registered 24,337 units. That results in 15.73 percent positive sales growth. In the commercial segment space market, Maruti Suzuki sells the super carry, which would get an impressive figure of 2,588 units last month. Also, Maruti Suzuki sold 4,305 units through OEM to Toyota in august 2021, and exports sales stood at 20,619 units. As for future products manufacturers likely launch a new generation of Celerio in the coming months and the CNG edition of Dzire, Swift, and the diesel powertrain with Vitara Brezza.
