Maruti Suzuki sold over 5000 units each day in July 2021

Maruti Suzuki India Limited, India’s biggest car manufacturer has been dominating the Indian market since its start with no one being able to sell even half of its number in monthly tally. The brand registered a total sale of 1,62,462 units last month which can also be translated to 5415 units sold each day by Maruti, as against the sale of 1,08,064 units during the same period last year in July 2020, resulting in YoY growth of 50.33% when compared on a YoY basis. The cumulative volume for the domestic market stands at 1,36,500 units added with 4,738 units supplied to the Toyota manufacturer as a part of OEM and 21,224 units were shipped to the foreign markets, which includes Swift, Ignis, and many other products.

The manufacturer on the sales figures said that when we compared the volume to the same month back in 2018 it is very low. While this month the volume can’t be compared to last year’s same month as the health crisis was going on and the country is in full lockdown period. Although, it should be noted that the same thing happens this year itself in May 2021 which also affects the sales volume. The Alto and S-Presso registered a total sale of 19,685 units last month against 17,258 units in the same month last year.

While, the combined sales of WagonR, Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno, Dzire, and Tour S managed to sold 70,268 units last month. The mini and compact segment stood at 90,000 units, while Ciaz and Mid-Size space recorded 1,450 units. The utility vehicle space Ertiga, XL6, Vitara Brezza, and S-Cross slotted 32,272 units and the Eeco manages to add over 10,000 units in the last month’s sales volume. The Domestic passenger vehicle stood at 1,33,732 units against 97,768 units and the Super carry commercial vehicle LCV stood at 2,768 units.
