Maruti Suzuki Swift the hottest and good-looking hatchback in the Indian market just crossed the 25lakh unit’s cumulative milestone.

The Indo-Japanese brand Maruti Suzuki India has today announced that the most popular and hottest hatchback available in the Indian market Swift has reached the 25lakh unit milestone. It took Maruti just 16 years to grasp the milestone. The compact Hatchback first generation was launched back in 2005 and since then vehicles have gone through many generation changes and facelifts. While, recently Maruti announced the launch of the facelift version of Swift in India with subtle changes like Chrome lining on the front honeycomb grille, cruise control, better handling, and tuned-up petrol engine which now delivers more power to the car. Back early in 2018 Maruti introduced the third generation Swift and still, the 3rd gen is running in the market.
Current Swift is based on a lightweight-hearted platform and upon the launch, it becomes the fastest mass-production vehicle to reach 1 lakh early bookings courtesy of good reception, affordable price, and Swift nameplate. Maruti Swift can be credited to the expanding range of hatchbacks currently available in India, as earlier there was no more than 2 or 3 hatch offered in India. After the success of Swift, many automakers have to introduce their best-looking hatch in India. But over the years Swift is the most popular and most loved hatch which can be seen in terms of month-on-month growth and the road presence the vehicle has. Currently, Maruti Swift has priced between Rs 5.85 lakh for the base LXI variant that goes all up to Rs 8.67 lakh for the top-end variant ZXI Plus ex-showroom. It is offered in five variants LXI, VXI, ZXI, and ZXI plus. The current facelift introduction also comes along with new dual-tone shades as well like red and black, blue and white, and Red and white.
While speaking on the announcement Shashank Srivastava Executive Director Market and sales Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said: “Swift is not a car it is an emotion and a refreshing new thought process that challenges many notions around hatchbacks. This success is a testament to the love of customers and brand critics of Swift. We wouldn’t have that kind of Success milestone without the love and apperception from our customer’s band. According to the brand, 52 percent of consumers are from age below 35 years old as for performance it comes powered by a 1.2 Litre Dualjet VVT four-cylinder petrol engine which belts out 89 HP of maximum power at 6,000 Rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque delivered at 4,400 Rpm. The powertrain comes paired with 5-speed manual transmission and an optional Automatic manual transmission gearbox system. It also boasts features like Idle Start/Stop technology which further increased its fuel economy by 2.1 Kmpl and has a claimed mileage of 23.20 kmpl for manual and 23.76 for automatic gearbox system. The interior gets an updated infotainment system enables with apple car play and android auto.
