Chinese automaker MG Morris garages launched Hector Shine trim in the domestic market, priced from Rs 14.51 lakh ex-showroom.

Just a few days ago MG has added a Savvy top-end trim with a seven-seater configuration in Gloster. And today the Chinese manufacturer introduced the Shine trim in Hector line-up with best-in-class features like electric sunroof, push start/stop, keyless entry, and so on. MG Hector is the best-selling product from the brand in India. The Hector was first introduced back in 2019 in a Mid-Size SUV segment and on seeing the popularity, and the market demand they have introduced 6- 7- seater configuration Hector plus in 2020 August.
The Hector Shine trim added the line-up with Style, Super, smart and Sharp. Talking about newly added Shine it is offered with petrol MT, diesel MT and petrol CVT, priced at Rs 14.51 lakh, Rs 16.49 lakh, and Rs 16.49 lakh. The Shine trim is positioned between existing Super, and smart trims and essentially launched as a Mid-Spec variant. The Hector Shine trim boasts its features list with a new grey paint scheme, Mutai functional steering wheel with mounted controls, electric parking brake, and so on. The 2021 NG Hector comes priced from Rs 13.49 lakh which goes up to Rs 19.20 lakh ex-showroom.
As for performance and engine options its all range offers in three engines – 1.5 Litre turbo petrol, a 1.5 Litre turbo petrol hybrid, and a 2.0 Litre turbo diesel engine. The First engine develops 143 PS of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque, which comes paired with 6-speed MT and a 6-speed DCT automatic. The second engine develops the same power and torque and comes with a mild hybrid. The third oil burner engine belts out 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque, comes coupled with a standard 6-speed manual transmission gearbox system.
