MG New Mid-Size SUV “ONE” officially unveils globally and features a new design language and builds on a new modular Sigma platform.

The Chinese-based automaker MG has unveiled their new Mid-Size SUV christened as ONE in the Chinese market. It comes with notable features and is based on a newly designed SAIC’s new sigma modular platform architecture, offering a best-in-class space of up to 70 percent efficiency. It also becomes the first MG to follow a new design philosophy that will come down to the future products from the brand. While, talking about the dimensions of the SUV it measures 4579 mm in length, 1866 mm in with and stands 1617 mm, and 2670 mm in wheelbase length.
The MG ONE is showcased in two color options – Bubble orange and Wilderness green color schemes and looks more futuristics, sporty, and signified by Alpha and beta. It should be noted that the interior hasn’t been showcased in the unveil event, although under the bonnet the engine specifications have been revealed. The front grille comes with integrated LED headlamps and LED DRLs, wraparound LED taillights, the number plate on the sculpted trunk, all-black pillars giving a dual-tone appearance with grey-colored roof rails, and sporty alloy wheels.
As for performance the MG ONE comes powered by a 1.5 Litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which belts out 181 HP of maximum power output and 285 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain comes coupled with a 7-speed Dual-clutch automatic transmission gearbox system. However, MG claims that the Sigma can also host with powertrain options as well, which could also include a Hybrid setup as well. As for India it is not officially speculated for launch in India, although the manufacturer planning to introduce the MG ZS petrol variant in India is likely to be named Astor.
