The new Volvo s60 2021 has finally been launched in India at Rs 45.9 lakh* (Ex-showroom) after a prolonged period of 3 years, the car was originally launched in the year 2018 in the international market and became widely available till 2019. However, this launch was planned way before 2021, but due to some unwanted circumstances, it was delayed for 3 years. But keeping everything aside the company has started accepting booking for this Luxury sedan which will be imported in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit).
The New Volvo S60 2021 is the updated version of the previously released 2015 S60 and is based on the SPA platform which is known for its safety and comfort as highlighted by the company. The new S60 also rocks a perfect 5-star score at the Euro NCAP, which for a Volvo brand is quite usual.

The new Volvo S60 measures just perfect for a sedan with length bit smaller than the BMW 3 series but wider than it and a larger wheelbase.
In terms of design, this Swedish car gets a beautifully designed minimalistic design which gives a sleek and premium vibe to it. Now looking at the details the car gets a newly designed grille with a chrome outline and a chrome logo at the centre with a diagonal chrome slash, a new ‘Thor’s Hammer’ style headlamp along with a blacked-out trapezoidal air damp, and new dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels.
For the side and rear, the car gets dark B-pillar and sleek character lines giving the car a visual definition, stylish C-shaped taillights, and a redesigned rear bumper.
Interior, Features and Powertrain
The new Volvo S60 comes in the luxury segment so no doubt the car will be brimming with features. To start with the list the first thing you will notice in the interior is the premium luxury upholstery which is covering most of its dashboard and the seats, next is the 9.0-inch vertical Sensus touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, other features include a Harmon Kardon music system, wireless charging, a huge panoramic sunroof, and 4-zone automatic climatic control.
In term of engine specs the car comes with a 2.0-litre, turbocharged 4-cylinder inline petrol engine capable of generating 187hp of max power and an optimum torque of 300Nm, this coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission gearbox with front-wheel drive.
