Skoda Kushaq 2021 – highlights

Skoda Vision IN which was showcased earlier the last year 2020 has recently announced its producing ready model name, which is to be called the Skoda Kushaq and will be unveiled in the first quarter of this year and launch scheduled to be in mid-2021. The company have high expectations for this car to be a success and from what has been already revealed from the Skoda Kushaq highlights the car will be a tough competition for its rivals.

Although it’s still decent time till the launch of the car, many leaks are floating about the car and to ease up your curiosity we have a few Skoda Kushaq highlights for you.  

Expected pricing and rivals

For the car to be a success this sub-4-meter SUV has to be priced fairly competitive and from the reports, the expected price will be around Rs 11 lakh ex-showroom and will be competing against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Nissan Kicks.

First India 2.0 project car

The India 2.0 project was announced to be a project solely made for the Indian market as the previous models have been a disappointment in term of sales. The Skoda Kushaq will be the first car to be launched under this project.

The exterior and interior designing

As for the exterior of the Vision IN concept which will very closely resemble the Kushaq, the car will be getting split headlamps with LED DRL running below it, Skoda’s signature grille, large bottom air damps, a faux silver skid plate, plastic side cladding, L-shaped taillights, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

And for the interior, the car gets a dual-tone finish, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof, and automatic temperature control. 

Engine Options

The last Skoda Kushaq highlight is its engine option which will be available in 2 versions first the 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, coupled with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine, which will be coupled with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG transmission gearbox.
