The Japanese auto car maker Suzuki’s Jimny sold out in international markets. The latest generation of Jimny was in the international markets since 2018.

The Japanese auto carmakers recently introduced small off-roader Jimny in the Mexico auto car market, and within just a span of 72 Hours its bookings are closed and it is sold out for the year. Suzuki planned to import only 1,000 units for now and the deliveries will be started in January 2021. The Suzuki Jimny manufacturing just ramped as of the Small off-roader demand and popularity just growing in Europe as well as in their home at japan. As the automakers of Jimny expanding the footprints to international markets, the brand reaches its maximum limit at the home plant in japan.
As reported India will be the next export Hub for the Jimny off-roader soon. The India-spec 5-door Jimny is reportedly to launch in the Indian market soon in the coming years. We do expect MSIL to bring 3-door Jimny to compete with the recently launched Mahindra Thar, which by the way preforming tremendously well in the market and sold out till May 2021. Mahindra’s new-generation Thar debut in October 2020 in the Indian market.
As for the under the hood specifications, Suzuki Jimny powered with a 1.5 Litre 4-cylinder K15B mild-hybrid petrol engine, generating 104.7 PS of maximum power output and 138 Nm of peak torque mated with a standard 5-speed manual and a four-speed torque converter automatic with a 4-wheel drive option. Same engine specification is found in the Maruti Suzuki lineup, which includes Ciaz, Vitara Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, and S-cross. The expected price range for Indian-Spec Suzuki Jimny may hang around Rs 9.5 lakh to Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom price). As per reports it could be retailed under Nexa premium outlets of Maruti Suzuki.
