Suzuki has introduced the WagonR Smile in the Japanese market. The vehicle prices starting from 1.29 million Yen converted Rs 8.30 lakh for the base variant, and it goes up to 1.71 million yen converted Rs 11.44 lakh. While talking about the design and styling WagonR Smile comes with a boxy upright design almost the same as the Indian hatch WagonR. At the front, it gets a dual cylindrical-shaped headlamp, along with chrome finished over the lights. The radiator grille also comprises chrome. The overall design of Smile follows a minimalistic approach.
Going towards the side profile of it boasts sliding doors for easy access and egress for passengers. Also, it is taller than WagonR by 45mm. Apart from that company is also offering plenty of dual-tone options. The roofline is also flat and the rear facet gets vertically stacked tail lamps. The interior cabin also follows a more simplistic design as well. Inside the cabin, it looks clean and uncluttered layout with a host of changes on board. At the dashboard, it has a larger infotainment system along with steering-mounted controls. The interior is also filled with dual-tone options as well. The WagonR Smile comes with under-seat storage, numerous upholstery options, old school analog MID.
As for performance, it is rather offered with a very small engine. It comes powered by a 657 cc three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which belts out 47 HP of maximum power at 6500 Rpm and 58 Nm of peak torque at 5000 Rpm. The powertrain comes coupled with an automatic CVT (continuous variable transmission) gearbox system. No manual gearbox system has been offered with WagonR Smile. However, the buyer can opt for Smile from Front-wheel drive and All-wheel drive system layouts. The Smile is offered in three variants, while the range-topping variant comes with a Hybrid powertrain option. Furthermore, the buyers can opt between various customization packages for the Smile include body kits, alloy wheels, roof rails, and other accessories let the customer customize their WagonR Smile.
