Tata Motors Model-wise sales May 2021 – Nexon, Altroz, Tiago

Tata Motors recently announced their May 2021 sales which if looked on a YoY basis tell a pleasant and uplifting story however the MoM sales comparison shows a different and real story of how much the auto market has suffered due to the chain of recent lockdowns forced on many states due to the spread of covid19 virus which can come back with the second wave. Here is the list depicting the Model-wise sales of Tata Motors in the month of May 2021.

The best seller on the list of May 2021 was the Tata Nexon which sold a total of 6,439 units in May 2021 compared to the sale of 6,938 units in April 2021 and 623 units in May 2020 which translates to YoY growth of a whopping 933%, however, also depicts the decline in MoM sales of -7.1%. Next, on our list is the Tata Altroz which sold a total of 2,896 units in May 2021 compared to the sale of 6,649 units in April 2021 and 1,379 units in May 2020 which translates to YoY growth of 110%, however, also depicts the massive decline in MoM sales of -56%. The Tata Altroz managed to garner a sale of 2,502 units in May 2021 compared to the sale of 6,656 units in April 2021 and 857 units in May 2020 which translates to YoY growth of 192%, however, also depicts the decline in MoM sales of -62%.

The Harrier and Safari managed to finish better in terms of MoM sales, Harrier made an MoM growth of -21% while the Safari performed better last month (marginal) and achieved an MoM sales growth of 1.5%. and lastly, the Tata Tigor, which fell from a high number and landed at the bottom with a massive MoM sales drop of -77%.
