- Once again, the first four spots are held by Maruti Suzuki hatches
- Fifth position is taken by Hyundai Grand I10 Nios with 8,787 units were sold last month
- Out of 10 position 6 positions are taken by Indo-Japanese brand Maruti Suzuki
Maruti Suzuki India Limited yet again started the June 2021 chronicles with a dominating nature. As, the four-wheeler manufacturer in India released their monthly sales figures just a few days back in June 2021, out of the top 10 hatchbacks sold last month six hatches are from the Maruti Suzuki. The Brand rules the segment with Wagon R finished at the top of the sales chart with 19,447 units were dispatched. The second position is taken by Swift as 17,171 units were sold against, 4,013 units sold in June 2020 resulting in 341.7 percent of YoY positive growth.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno finished at third position with getting 14,701 units last month against 4,300 units in the corresponding month last year, getting 242 percent of YoY growth. The Maruti Suzuki entry-level hatch Alto finished at fourth position with 12,513 units against 7,298 units in June 2020 getting a 71.5 percent volume growth. The Hyundai Grand I10 Nios finished at the fifth position as 8,787 units were dispatched last month against 3,593 units in June 2020 resulting in 144.6 percent positive sales growth on a YoY basis. The Homegrown grown brand premium hatch Altroz finished at sixth position with 6,350 units dispatched last year.
The Korean premium hatchback i20 finished at seventh position with getting 6,333 units sold last month against 2,718 units in the corresponding month last year, getting 133 percent of positive sales growth on a YoY basis. The eighth position is taken by Maruti Suzuki S-Presso with 4,926 garnered last month, while tata entry-level hatch Tiago finished just below at ninth position with 4,881 units sold. The Maruti Suzuki Nexa Ignis finished at the tenth position as it recorded 3,583 units last month against 1,432 units in the same corresponding month last year, resulting in YoY positive growth of 150 percent.
