2020 the year of the biggest mass-manufacturers car launches, with the range of new cars in different segments introduced on this year Auto Expo. Many manufacturers continued to introduce new cars over the year from the beginning, and the festive season also saw a host of new car launches as well. Last year ago, four-wheel-drive cars are very limited to only small manufacturers but this year no manufacturer wants to left out in the race of 4-wheel drive and a very populated and famous compact-SUV segment range. Hence, we can do expect the launches of new cars to slow down very soon till the last month of the year and coming year 2021. Starting off the list with the Nissan Magnite, the first budget SUV’s from the brand to introduced in Indian markets. Nissan is a sub-4m compact SUV introduced in India just a few weeks back and gains a lot of attraction with the aggressive pricing range. Nissan Magnite all set to launch in the Indian market on December 2nd. The Nissan Magnite will rival Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai venue, Tata Nexon, Toyota urban cruiser, and Kia sonet. Magnite offered with a premium feature like an 8-inch touchscreen, 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, android auto, apple car play, 360-degree camera, and many more.
TOYOTA INNOVA CRYSTA FACELIFT
Toyota Innova Crysta facelift was already launched in the south-Asian markets and expected to be launched in the Indian market by the last week of November 2020. Innova Crysta facelift comes with the same powertrain option as going on and comes with a limited change in the cabin and at the front bumper section. The overall cabin layout remains unchanged but gets small updates like the 9-inch infotainment system, android auto, apple car play, and smartphone Bluetooth connectivity. Talking about the exterior, the new Innova Crysta will get new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The Innova Crysta priced between Rs 15.66 lakh – Rs 23.63 lakh (ex-showroom) and the same expected with the facelift as well without much revision in the price range.
TOYOTA FORTUNER FACELIFT
The Japanese carmaker is not only working on launching the Innova Crysta facelift but as well as the leader of the premium SUV segment Fortuner. The premium SUV segment has seen new launches in a recent period of time and feels a little outdated as compared to its rival’s SUV’s. The 2.7-liter petrol and 2.8-liter diesel engine BS6 compliant engines are currently on offer with the SUV. Fortuner facelift expected to come with a little fresh-up look with the same powertrain in the offering. Fortuner facelift is likely to be launched in late January 2021 or early February 2021.
Tata d their three-row SUV namely as “Gravitas” at this year’s auto expo. It was expected to launch this year itself but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is now delayed to early February 2020. It is offered with a 2.0 Litre Kryotec diesel engine, which generates 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque as the Tata Harrier. The transmission will also be the same as the Tata Harrier, 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission. It is expected to offered with a petrol powertrain line up as well.
At this year’s auto expo Tata motors India showcased tata gravitas three-row SUV, along with gravitas tata introduced their first micro SUV concept named Tata HBX. The production-ready HBX is spied on-road testing this year a couple of times. Tata HBX expected to be launched in late March or early April 2021. Tata HBX offered with a 1.2 liter three-cylinder revotron petrol engine, as the other hatchbacks of tata. The HBX is mated with standard 5-speed manual transmission and an optional automatic gearbox option along with it. Talking about the features HBX carries a touchscreen infotainment system, Bluetooth connectivity, apple car play, android auto, split headlamps, LED DRLs, a Harman sourced audio system, and more.
