Toyota July 2021 sales posted a decent growth of 143%

Toyota Kirloskar Motors India posted a three-figure positive sale growth of 143% compared on a year-on-year basis in July 2021.

  • Fortuner and Innova crysta plays an important role in the growth

Toyota Motors India today has released its monthly sales numbers for July 2021. In which they a posted total of 13,105 units as against 5,386 units in the same month last year in July 2020, resulting in the positive growth of 143% on a YoY basis. Although, if we compared it with June 2021, it resulted in a growth of 49% as 8,801 units were sold in the month. It should be noted that in June 2021 the company posted a growth of 128% on a YoY basis as it sold 8,801 units against 3,866 units during the same month last year.

On the sales performance from the brand, the sales and strategic marketing associate said,” July has been a great another month for us as we have good numbers surge in both demands as well as in wholesale. Our reservation pending orders for June and July 2021 promising and our demand is also getting higher. Our retails sales have also been promising as it drastically cutting down the gap between wholesales and retails figures”. While talking about the recent launch, the manufacturer introduced the facelift version of Fortuner and Innova Crysta.

The facelift features a bigger engine and few design updates as well from the inside out. Along, with that, the new Fortuner Legender edition has also been launched in the market making it the costlier edition from the Fortuner line-up. Although, the Legender doesn’t have the 4×4 configuration it gets more premium looks and a good road presence as well. Fortuner and Innova Crysta play a vital role in the brand growth along with decent sales numbers from the rebadged versions through the OEM deal with Maruti. Last month through the deal Toyota sold over 4,000 units of urban cruiser and Glanza.
