Triton a New Jersey-based solar panel company is planning to enter the Indian market with its new sedan Triton EV N4 which will be powered by a solar panel to recharge the batteries. With the growing popularity of the electric cars many companies any starting to feel the shift in the current pattern of oil-burning cars which has been in trend since ages. But with companies slowly entering the Electric car genre the completion is slowly starting to heat up. Currently, the only cars present in the electric genre are Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV, Hyundai Kona, and Tigor EV, but recently the world renounced brand Tesla has also started to show its interest with setting up their Indian headquarter at Bengaluru.
Triton EV N4
Triton has named their sedan model N4 which will be competing against the Tesla Model 3 in the premium segment, however, the N4 will be priced way lower than its competitor. In clear words, the Triton EV N4 will be pricing at about Rs 35 lakh and for the Tesla Model 3 which will be pricing at Rs 55 lakh.
Form the concept graphics of the Triton EV N4 the car looks quite premium with sleek DRLs and headlamps, broad grille with centred Triton logo, smaller windows, sculpted bonnet, and red accent on the front bumper although this is a concept model many design aspects will be remaining the same.
For its interior, the car will be rocking a wide digital touchscreen comprising of both the instrument cluster and infotainment system similar to that in the Ford Equator. Aside from that, the main highlight feature here will be the panoramic sunroof embedded with a solar panel which helps the battery recharge while it is running, along with this the car will be containing all premium luxury features you can expect from a Rs 35 lakh car.
For its powertrain option, the car will be coming in 2 battery options a 75W battery and a 100W battery giving a mileage of 523Km and 696km on a single charge. The car will also support fast charging which can take the Triton EV N4’s battery from 0-80% in just an hour.
