While all the carmaker have to upgrade there car emission norms to latest BS6, Mahindra also do the same with there vehicle line ups. As for upgradation most of their trims have been discontinued due to BS6 norms so as there Mahindra XUV500 automatic variant. But after a little while Mahindra XUV500 automatic returned to the SUV’s range. The car maker has now introduced the diesel automatic variant of XUV500 into market competition. The engine gearbox is available int three variants W7, W9, W11(O), with price range starting from Rs15.65 lakhs
Mahindra has re-introduced 6-speed torque convertor automatic unit with its 155hp, 2.2litre mHawk diesel engine, combination is previously available in BS4. The automatic gear box variant is available cost a premium of Rs1.2 lakhs more than to its manual gear box the same as in BS4.

While previously Mahindra XUV500 at the time of there first model launch it is unique of their three row seating arrangement, as the year passes on the competition or rivals starting to get in. For now Mahindra XUV500 rivals is MG hector plus. The MG, though have lack of option of there diesel automatic variant, while it is available in petrol engine option. Other rival in mid-space SUV are Hyundai Creta, kia Seltos, tata harrier. Future rivals considering to be Hyundai Creta with three row seating arrangement, and tata gravitas.
Other than this Mahindra has a pipeline full of new upgraded and models for Indian market. The carmaker is set to launch the second generation all new thar on 2 October 2020, with this powerful 130hp turbo petrol engine XUV300 powered by company’s 1.2 mstallion petrol engine.
Coming for next year carmaker is set to launch all new XUV500 along side next generation Mahindra Scorpio, in early 2021.
