Hyundai Santro was the first car in India from Hyundai Motors launched in 1998. This car became so popular that success of Santro helped Hyundai to reach second biggest automobile company in India, the position Hyundai maintained even today in 2020. Hyundai Santro Xing ruled Indian road for a long time till Hyundai discontinued the model in 2014. However, after four years in 2018 Hyundai launched a revised version of Santro.
The 2018 Santro retains its previous famous overall design with mild improved modifications. Increased bumper size and height, shortened bonnet a little bit, centralised grille covered by Fog-lamps with sleek headlamps placed at top of them. New-Santro gets ORVM turn indicator and rest of the side profile remains similar. The rear of car gets hatchback styled door with non-split tail lamps placed at the side body. Overall, this car looks more sportier version of the previous one. Hyundai Santro is available in 11-variants with 5-trims, 2-transmission and Petrol engine only. CNG option is also available in Magna and Sportz Edition. On petrol it gives 20.0 kmpl of mileage while on CNG it can give a whopping 30.0 kmpl of mileage. Ex-showroom of Santro price ranges from Rs. 4.63 to Rs. 6.32 lakhs.
