Here, we have today a digitally modified 2021 tata safari into an off-roader SUV, with snow chains on the outer tread of tires. Tata safari was launched back in Feb 2021, after a lot of delays. Previously, it was showcased as Tata Gravitas at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new generation safari based on a tata Mid-Size SUV Harrier, and shares the same underpinnings. Both the SUV shares the platform, engine, and architecture. Although, the biggest disappointment of Safari is that it doesn’t offer 4×4 features like the older generation. While, if it seems in terms of sales not many customers in India or abroad go for the all-wheel-drive version, instead of front-wheel drive.
Although, in the past few weeks we have seen a camouflage version of the tata safari on Indian roads. The newly updated safari could get the 4×4 features, as it isn’t confirmed by the brand officials so we have to wait for that. Here, we have a Zephyr Designz digitally modified 2021 tata safari into an off-roader SUV, wrapped with many auxiliary lights at the A-pillars and on the front bumper. While the off-roader SUV is specifically designed for the snow areas as it also gets the snow chains wrapped around the tires. At the front, it gets the newly designed off-roader bumper, with integrated bull bars and an electric winch.
The front grille is completely blacked out, expected for the tata logo. Although, the LED headlamps, fog lamps, and DRLs remain unchanged. Also, it gets the new set of massive tires on SUV, along with deep-dish alloy wheels. The ride height has been increased and side steps have also been added to the SUV. Another noticeable part is the blacked-out roof rails and chrome-plated door handles. As for performance, it gets powered by a sole 2.0 Litre oil burner, which belts out 170 PS of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The powertrain comes coupled with 6-speed manual transmission and an optional torque convertor.
