Kia India is planning to add a new entry-level MPV codenamed KY in its line-up. It was earlier hinted or teased by the brand with an image on the launch of the facelift version of Sonet and Seltos a few weeks back. Test models have already been spotted a few times on Indian roads and foreign roads as well. Here, we have other spy shots of test mules of KY MPV. Despite little heavy camouflage, it revealed some details about the MPV like its front detailing, alloy wheels design, and much more.
The vehicle gets a sleek-looking LED headlamp, similar to the ones of Sonet. Looking on sideways the front door is smaller than the rear passenger door, which eases the passengers In and out. The front profile is also covered with heavy camouflage but some minor details like LED headlamp with integrated LED DRLs, peeking from underneath. Apart from that the larger air dam, the faux silverplate can be noticed from the front. The Kia MPV also gets a pair of roof rails, and machine-cut five-spoke dual-tone alloy wheels.
The New Kia MPV will be shared its underpinning with its sibling Seltos. The interior cabin hasn’t been spied, but it is likely to be the same as the Mid-Size SUV seltos. The features list also comprises of same as Seltos like bigger 10.25-inch infotainment, digital instrument cluster, leatherette seats, and so on. As for performance Kia MPV KY could be powered by a 1.5 Litre diesel engine and optional 1.5 Litre petrol or 2.0 Litre petrol powertrain. Both the powertrain will be offered in automatic and manual gearbox systems. Kia India is expected to officially unveil MPV in early 2022.
