More and more start-ups are coming forward to launch their best in segment electric bikes and scooters across India. Last year Bangalore based Ather energy launched its higher-tech Ather 450X in India, and now on the occasion of 75th Independence Day new start-up, another Bangalore-based Simple energy launched its product Simple one in the Indian market across 13 major states. Both scooters go up against Bajaj Chetak EV, TVS iQube, newly launched ola electric Scooter S1. So, here we put together a specification comparison between Simple one vs Ather 450X both Bangalore based start-ups: –
- Deign and styling
Talking about the designs, both the electric scooters feature with same more advanced futuristic style at the front as well as on the rear apron. While on Simple one it gets triangular-shaped headlamps along with integrated turn indicators on the front cowl. It gets a smartly shaped single-piece seat with a grab rail at the end of it. The taillights are featured with LED as well, and short rear fender and sporty. There are plenty of creases and lines on the body of Simple one.
Although Ather 450X comes equipped with the same all-LED lighting from the front apron to the rear and also gets a single-piece seat. While the Ather 450X is inspired by a Maxi-Scooter design.
- Colour options available
Simple energy one comes with four color options – Brazen black, Nama Red, Azure blue, and grace white.
While Ather 450X offers four-color paint jobs – Space grey, White, Mint green, and Series one (Black with red highlights).
- Equipment’s and electronics
First starting off with the Simple one has plenty of advanced features and equipment. It consists of 7-inch fully instrument cluster with Bluetooth and WIFI connectivity, navigation, SMS alerts, call, remote access, all-LED lightning, 30 Litre boot space, and so on. While Scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels, integrated with 110/80 tires at both ends. There is also a reverse mode as well which is also common in every other electric scooter, along with a tire pressure monitoring system.
While Ather 450X comes featured with the same 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, which enables the stats display, avigation, Bluetooth connectivity, vehicle tracking, welcome lights, all-LED lighting, reverse mode, and so on.
- Suspension duties
Simple one suspension duties are performed by conventional front forks and rear monoshock suspension at the rear. While Ather 450X rides on the same conventional front fork and monoshock rear.
The simple one is metered at 110 Kg and a bit heavier than Ather 450X, and it features a bigger battery as well.

- Price Range
The simple one comes with a price tag of Rs 1.10 lakh, and Ather energy offered electric scooters in two variants 450 and 450X. While the top variant 450X comes with a price tag of Rs 1.32 lakh. Although, the price tag of Ather is a bit higher than its rival ola scooter, Simple one, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak EV.
