BMW Motorrad recently revealed the new electric scooter in the international market and it looks futuristic and dope. The new EV two-wheeler has a lot in its offerings like the sleek design, performance, premium features, and better riding range. So, here we put together the Top 5 things you should be about BMW CE 04 before its official launch: –

  • Design elements

The Design of BMW CE 04 is not so different than its concept form which was first showcased back in 2018. The final production model doesn’t include many changes to its concept form. The scooter has a sporty front look, alongside a profile like a Tron Movie bike and a sleek longer tail section. The Scooter will be available in two variants Standard and Avantgarde Style. The standard variant offers a light white paint scheme with few Matts black elements, while the Avantgarde variant sports with Magellan grey paint with orange/black seat with orange front wiser.

  • Platform

The BMW CE 04 is built on a tubular steel frame and the scooter rides on 35 mm telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The rear suspension is attached to a single swingarm. The CE 04 gets 15-inch alloy wheels on the front and rear with a 120/70 tire at the front and a 160/60 tire at the back.

  • Equipment’s and features

The upcoming BMW CE 04 electric scooter gets plenty of premium features like automatic stability control, riding modes Eco, rain, and Rain, all LED lighting system, ABS, a 10.25-inch TFT digital instrument cluster along with smartphone connectivity. The scooter also boasts features like a USB-C Charging port. Along with all this, the brand also gives optional equipment like Dynamic traction control, Dynamic ride modes, and cornering ABS.

  • Performance and specifications

BMW CE 04 comes powered by an 8.9 kWh lithium-ion battery pack mounted inside the floorboard, coupled with a permanent magnet motor. The battery generates 15 KW and 31 KW maximum power output. The scooter can sprint from 0 to 100 Kmph in just 2.6 seconds, can top up to 120 Kmph. As for the charging time the scooter takes 1 hour and 40 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 percent with a 6.9 KW fast charger or 4 hours and 20 minutes via a 2.3 KW charger. The E-Scooter has a claim riding range of up to 130 Km.

  • Launch Timeline

BMW CE 04 electric scooter is expected to launch in the selected global markets by early 2022. Although, it is not sure the electric scooter would come to the Indian market. While, if the EV makes its way to the Indian market it would be very costly.
